Here is an all-time classic of 20th-Century literature. I know people who have tried to get into this book and given up and to you I say, get back on the horse! I had to try 3 times before understanding where I was in the story, that's how detailed the setting is. Once you get into it, however, you may find yourself not wanting to put the book down as you read it over and over to try and follow every thread. The characters are unforgettable and the story is both futuristic and timeless, with religious elements along with a martial tradition and a really different take on Sci-Fi science.
